Man killed in hit-and-run in Ferndale

Michael Proxmire, 49, of Madison Heights was fatally struck by a vehicle on Friday, December 9, 2016 in the city of Ferndale. The hit-and-run took place between 10:30 p.m. and 11:52 p.m. on eastbound 10 Mile Road near Huron Avenue. A passerby noticed Mr. Proxmire laying in the roadway and called 911. Mr. Proxmire was riding a gray men’s mountain bike prior to being struck and he was wearing a brown leather coat and green camouflage pants. Maurice Parker Mims, 64, was killed by a hit-and-run driver on Friday, November 11, 2016 at approximately 5:30 p.m.  Mr. Mims was using the crosswalk at the intersection of Randolph and Larned Streets when he was struck by a silver Chevy Impala.  The driver of the Chevy Impala was observed swerving in and out of traffic moments before striking Mr. Mims. The incident took place at the intersection of Larned and Randolph Streets, north of E. Jefferson Ave. in downtown Detroit. Mr. Mims was 64 years old.

DaJuan Arrington, a.k.a. “Juan, Big Juan or Dudda’, was killed on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 9:25 p.m.  DaJuan was headed to his fiancé’s home when he made a stop at the Family Dollar.  When he exited the store he was shot multiple times next to his tan, GMC Yukon Denali.
