Angelo Goforth a.k.a. “Nu-Nu” was murdered on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at approximately 1:30 a.m. Angelo was shot and killed during a robbery. The incident took place at the Sweet Soul Bistro, located at 13741 W. McNichols Rd. near Schafer Rd, between Lesure and Tracey Streets on Detroit’s west side.
Angelo exited the Sweet Soul Bistro to escort three female friends to their car. A man armed with a gun appeared and made them all lay on the ground and robbed them. The gunman attempted to shoot them and his gun jammed. Angelo struggled with the man for the gun, and was shot four times.
Angelo was 25 years old. Angelo was a graduate of Westside Academy of Detroit. He was a member of their wrestling team and awarded numerous trophies and medals Angelo took classes at Henry Ford Community College to become an automotive mechanic. His goal was to learn the skilled trade and be gainfully employed. Angelo’s goal was to take care of his family.
