On Saturday, April 29, 1978 between 2:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. witnesses observed a two-door, fastback style vehicle, with a loud muffler, in the 3600 block of Term St. in Flint. Parked in front of this vehicle was a maroon colored Chrysler. A short time later, the fastback took off at a high rate of speed, northbound on Term St., with it’s headlights off. At approximately 8:30 a.m., neighbors found Charlie DeSpain, 22, and Steve McDonald, 23, shot to death in the front seat of the Chrysler.
